In her own words,
Feeling stuck in your everyday routine and looking to break free? Believe me, I can relate. I used to be a girl who never believed I could achieve anything, but now I regularly put my life on the line with my strobes suspended hundreds of feet in the air, held only by a rope, surrounded by an amazing adventure family who I trust with my life. How in the world did I get there and make such a huge transition? Join me as I dive deep into my adventurous journey from a ho-hum world of photography to scaring the living daylights out of myself at every portrait session, photographing sportraits, highlining, rock climbing, boxing, whitewater kayaking, and more, all with off-camera flash! I live in a world where I crave adventure and big challenges, knowing that I will come out more creative and better on the other side. We will cover sportraits, extreme sports photography, and adventure photography, a few technical setups and a lot of inspiration to help you break free from your normal routine. I can’t wait to share my story with you and hear about yours, so join me on this crazy ride I call my life!
Outdoor 76 will be there giving away some cool swag for the attendees. They’re a local specialty outdoor shop and outfitter, now with 3 locations in Cherokee, Franklin, and Clayton. We’ll also have our door prize drawing for a Sandisk Extreme 16 GB SD card, so be sure to be there! Let’s forego the Show and Tell this month.
This is an all-ages event open to the general public, not just photographers.
The suggested donation for visitors is $5. This amount is applied to the $20 yearly membership, which becomes active from the date paid in full. So please join us on Saturday, September 8 from 2 PM – 4 PM at the Cullowhee United Methodist Church. Hope to see you there.
Thank you for coming out to my OCF lighting presentation and live model shoot. Thanks to Profoto USA for all the cool swag, and a big thanks to the models Anjelica Childs and Ben Childs for their time and efforts. I’ll post final photos to the club’s Cluster page when they’re selected and processed.
